abouT us
The Guernsey Camping Club was formed in 1977 by a group of like-minded people with a keen interest in camping. Since those early days, our Club has grown considerably and now boasts over 200 members from all walks of life and age groups.
We are situated in the stunning and picturesque Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. Due to our location, we claim to be one of the most southerly Camping Clubs in the British Isles.
Our aims are to:
-
promote all forms of camping within the Island and to all age groups
-
assist our members in the furtherance of their hobby
-
organise family events and rallies for members
Our Club is run by an elected committee of eleven, whose members take on the various roles such as President, Treasurer, Secretary and Members. The Committee provides a point of contact for our members and prospective members.
All members receive newsletters that report on recent Club events, forthcoming rallies, along with other valuable information, and keeps members informed of Club news. The newsletters are distributed by email.
We offer our members a number of on-island social events during the year including BBQ's, camping rallies, skittles and other social events. Our Club also organises off-island rallies.
The Club is open to all (whether a camper/caravanner/motohomer or not), and new members are always made welcome.
